Q
uestion:
I have a couple of questions regarding my driver license. How many points are on my driving record, and may I file for an extension to pay my traffic ticket?

Answer:
To answer the first question, you may purchase a copy of your driving record from many Clerk's Office locations. Contact your local Clerk of Court to see if they offer this service.

Driving records are available from the Manatee County Clerk. The fee is $4.10 to run the record and an additional $1.00 per page is charged. The record will show points on your record.

Extension of time to pay your citation is not allowed by the court in Manatee County. A short grace period is given on each case to allow for mailing. A good practice is to mail payment to reach the Clerk within 30 days. Extenuating circumstances may be submitted to the Clerk who will forward this to the court for review.
