Internal auditing is an independent,
objective assurance and consulting activity designed
to add value and improve an organization's operations.
As a service to management and the taxpayers of Manatee
County, the Internal Auditing Department measures and
evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of various
Manatee County departments' and agencies' internal
controls. Internal controls evaluated by Internal Audit
include a complex environment of federal, state, and
local laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Internal Audit evaluates and reports to the Board of
County Commissioners, the County Administrator, and
the public on how well Manatee County departments comply
with these rules.

If you would like to report an incidence
of fraud, waste, abuse or County Employee misconduct,
you can contact Internal Audit in one of five ways.
Your complaint can be anonymous or you can leave your
name, if you wish. Please remember, however, that if
you send an e-mail or use on-line form, your Internet
address will be contained in the e-mail.
