The Manatee County Historical Commission is a non-profit corporation dedicated to preserving the pioneering spirit and heritage of the early settlers of the area. The commission's responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining restored buildings and grounds within the Manatee Village Historical Park
  • Preserving and maintaining artifacts, records and documents of local interest
  • Educating the community, residents, visitors and students in county history
  • Coordinating volunteer programs for the operation of the park
  • Raising additional funds for the support and expansion of the Manatee Village Historical Park


The Commission welcomes donations of money or artifacts. Volunteers are always welcome. Please call 941-741-4075 weekdays for more information.
